(FR) Rencontrez les artisans: Avanaa Chocolat !

J’ai eu la chance de pouvoir rencontrer Catherine cette semaine, qui a lancé Avanaa chocolat à Montréal 🇨🇦, et Rafaelle qui travaille avec elle. Elles tiennent un chouette magasin et atelier où on peut trouver ses tablettes et du chocolat chaud.

Catherine est géologue de formation (dans le monde du chocolat, les gens viennent souvent d’un autre domaine: beaucoup de geeks, d’architectes comme Rafaelle, de pâtissiers…) Elle a pris une année sabbatique et est partie faire un tour en Amérique latine et centrale où elle a visité des plantations. A son retour, elle s’est lancée dans Avanaa. C’était il y a 2 ans. Elle n’emploie que des fèves de ces régions là. J’ai beaucoup aimé sa tablette république dominicaine Zorzal, ou celle à la noix de coco 🌴, et celle au chai… bref, j’ai aimé!

I was fortunate to meet Catherine, who launched Avanaa chocolat in Montreal, and Rafaëlle who works with her. It is a cute little shop and workshop where they craft their bars.

Catherine is geologist by profession. She went for a sabbatical to Latin and Central America to visit plantations and launched her business when she came back, 2 years ago.
